Claridge’s afternoon tea is said to serve “the best tea in London.” They have won many awards for their afternoon tea. Claridge’s offers over 40 types of tea from all over the world and has even received numerous awards including “The Tea Guild’s Top London Afternoon Tea of 2011”. Claridge’s has 4 different sittings for afternoon tea: 3:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00pm and 5:30pm. Afternoon tea at Claridge’s may be served in the Foyer or the Reading Room, and guests will have the sound of live music playing throughout their tea time.
Along with Claridge’s wide range of tea, they also serve an array of finger sandwiches, pastries and freshly baked apple and raisin scones. Claridge’s high tea is known for their seasonal events as well.

Each event is served with a different special treat such as hot cross buns, macaroons, strawberries or even roses.
Prices for afternoon tea at Claridge’s range depending if you would like a glass of champagne as well as tea. Afternoon Tea is around $59.00 per person. Champagne Afternoon Tea is around $76.00 per person, and Rose Champagne Afternoon Tea is about $96.00 per person. These events are served with your choice of tea as well as a small array of different champagnes or a rose champagne selection as well.
Claridge’s afternoon tea requires a dress code to be followed. The dress code is described as “elegant smart casual”. No shorts, ripped jeans, sportswear or caps are to be worn during Clardige’s high tea.
